Hello, my name is Audrey. I like to go by Ven most of the time online. I am in my early 20s. My current interests in life are to play games, livestream, and read/write novels. I plan to be a radiology technician and possibly a radiologist in my distant future. Finding a school for becoming a radiologist is like finding a needle in a haystack.
My favorite games at the moment are Valorant, Pirate101, and Costume Quest. Valorant is a new obsession of mine to play almost every day. Since school has started for me, I have dialed back on how much I play by a lot. Pirate101 and Costume Quest are childhood nostalgic games for me, so I thoroughly enjoy playing them. I play Pirate101 when I feel like playing a grind type of style game. I have not completed the game because it takes a long time to finish, and I do not play the game every day because it is not as engaging as a game like Valorant. I play Costume Quest every Halloween to get into the mood of Halloween. I have completed Costume Quest numerous times; however, I love the game so much I do not care that I know the game front to back. When I livestreamed, myself playing these games, I do so on Twitch. I have earned a bit of money from Twitch.
I always been into creative outputs. With art, I have the most experience in as opposed to writing. However, I love writing. I have written so many drafts of stories. I am currently writing a novel and only eight chapters into it. I would love to be more consistent with my writing, however between no motivation and my busy life I cannot reach that goal yet. I prefer the romance genre in writing and reading.
My first impression of IS101 was I thought it would be extremely easier than what I am currently at in the course. A main reason why I thought it was going to be much easier than I expected was because I am a gamer, have built my own PC, and I am Generation Z. I have been around computers all my life. It is still an easier course than other classes I have to take. I just did not expect how much more I did not know about IS101. Also, how much more detail it goes into than I expected. For an example, I did not realize you could edit a viewer's ability to edit only certain parts of a document.
Because I livestream on Twitch, I have experience with tweaking different settings of my livestream. For an example, I have experience in changing my bitrate to give viewers a smoother and clearing watching experience. I also know how to use streaming software on my computer to an extent. I have not altered with every setting, like encoders. I have used the scenes, sources, audio mixers, and scene transitions significantly. I have attempted to separate audio channels; Spotify from my desktop audio. One day, I will get back to reattempting to successfully separate the two channels.
